A distinguished Professor of Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the University of Rijeka, with over three decades of expertise in nephrology, particularly dialysis and kidney transplantation.He served as Head of the Department of Nephrology, Dialysis and Kidney Transplantation at Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka from 2001 to 2025 and has authored more than 350 scientific and professional publications.
He is a Full Member of the Croatian Academy of Medical Sciences and has held leadership positions in national and international nephrology organizations.
He currently serves as President of the Mediterranean Kidney Society.
