Prof. Ashley Grossman- UK 

He received a First-Class degree in Anatomy at University College London, and the University Gold Medal from UCHMS. 

He became Professor of Neuroendocrinology at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in 1993, then Professor of Endocrinology at the University of Oxford, and Fellow of Green Templeton College. He is currently Consultant in Neuroendocrine Tumours at the Royal Free Hospital, London, and is also Professor of Neuroendocrinology at Barts and the London School of Medicine. 

He has published some 550 peer-reviewed papers and over 450 chapters and reviews, He has been President of the ENEA, the Society for Endocrinology, Chairman of UKINETS, President of the Pituitary Society, and is President of Endotext.

Prof. Naifa Busaidy- USA

Tenured Associate Professor at University of Texas–MD Anderson Cancer Center. Clinical & research expertise/interests are primarily focused-driven to improve outcomes in aggressive thyroid carcinomas patients.  

Busaidy attended Baylor College of Medicine medical school, residency and fellowship with research fellowship to advance her clinical/research knowledge in Endocrine Tumors. 

She joined the UTMDACC faculty where she serves on committees & directs thyroid nodule clinic.

She serves as PI/Co-PI of NCI and industry trials with aims to identify molecular mechanisms of disease progression and targets for improving response to therapy.She serves on NCCN Thyroid Cancer Guidelines, NCI’s PI3K/mTOR taskforce and advisory boards/consultant for oncology groups/industry to shape the treatment spectrum of thyroid cancer.

She is an ITOG member, where she serves on the board, ATA, where she served program, research grant and awards committees, AACE(fellow), Endocrine Society. 

She has published extensively on thyroid cancer and Endocrine effects of cancer therapy.

Prof. Tarek AbdelAziz- UK

He is a highly respected Consultant Thyroid and Endocrine surgeon based in London. He is renowned for his expertise in thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery, particularly, thyroid cancer surgery, reoperative thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and minimally invasive adrenal surgery. Mr Abdel-Aziz qualified in medicine and surgery with distinction from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 2001 before obtaining a highly-sought after place on a revered surgical residency program. He additionally gained a master’s degree in surgery before relocating to the UK to complete an esteemed fellowship in endocrine surgery at Oxford University Hospitals where he gained invaluable experience in the full range of endocrine procedures. He became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009 and was awarded a doctorate degree in surgery at University College London in 2012 which included extensive research into stem cells and organ function. He was appointed as an endocrine surgery consultant in 2014 at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is currently one of the UK’s highest volume thyroid surgeons. Mr Abdel-Aziz sees private patients at Cleveland Clinic London Hospital and Portland Place Outpatient Centre. He is the current clinical lead for thyroid cancer for North Central London Cancer Alliance.Additional to his clinical responsibilities, Mr Abdel-Aziz is also a renowned educator and is an honorary associate professor at University College London and is the surgical lead for undergraduate students at University College London. In 2020, he became a fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In recognition of his dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients, Mr Abdel-Aziz received a Top Quality Patient Care Award from his NHS base in 2023. Mr Abdel-Aziz became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2016 and is also a member of various other esteemed bodies, including the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons (BAETS) and the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons (ESES). He additionally continues to maintain an active interest in research and his numerous academic contributions to the endocrinology and surgical fields are published in peer-reviewed journals.
