      Concise and specific (Max 20 words). Capitalize the first letter of each significant word.

      Presenting Author:
      Full Name, Degrees (e.g., John D. Smith, MD, FRCS)

      Affiliation:
      Institution, Department, City, Country

      Co-authors:
      List all co-authors in the format: First and last names, Degrees, Affiliation


      Abstract Body (Max 300–350 words)

      Use the following structured format:

      1. Background:
        • Brief context or clinical relevance of the study.
        • Clearly state the topic being addressed.
      2. Objective:
        • A precise statement of the study's purpose or hypothesis.
      3. Methods:
        • Study design (e.g., retrospective cohort, RCT, case series)
        • Sample size, population, duration
        • Key interventions or procedures
        • Outcome measures
      4. Results:
        • Present the main findings (with statistical significance, where applicable)
        • Include key data, not just statements
      5. Conclusion:
        • Interpretation of results
        • Clinical relevance or implications for surgical practice

      Keywords:

      3–5 keywords (e.g., colorectal cancer, minimally invasive surgery, lymphadenectomy)

      Conflict of Interest Disclosure:

      E.g., "None declared" or specific disclosures

📌 Abstract Submission Guidelines

  1. Eligibility:
    • Open to consultants, fellows, residents, and medical students in surgical disciplines, nurses, and other healthcare givers
    • Must be related to general surgery or subspecialties (GI, HPB, endocrine, trauma, etc.)
  2. Language:
    • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  3. Formatting Rules:
    • Use a structured format as above.
    • Word limit: 300–350 words (excluding title and affiliations).
    • Do not include tables, images, or graphs in the abstract.
    • Use standard abbreviations (define them at first use).
  4. Review Criteria:
    • Scientific merit and originality
    • Relevance to general surgery
    • Methodological rigor
    • Clarity of results and conclusions
  5. Submission Process:
    • Deadline: 20/10/2025
    • Notification of acceptance: 15/11/2025
  6. Ethics Approval:
    • Clinical studies must demonstrate IRB/ethics committee approval and, if applicable, informed consent.
  7. Resubmissions and Edits:
    • Once submitted, abstracts may be edited until the deadline.
    • After the deadline, no changes permitted.
