CATHLAB Quality Improvement program aims to increase awareness as the key ingredient to quality improvement efforts through sharing best practices for pre-, intra-, and post- procedure evaluation and management. The course will be exposed to the integration of latest updates and guidelines which will be discussed during cases sessions

Abdullah Shehab

Dr Abdullah is, MBChB (UK), DipMEd (UK), MMEd (UK), MD (cardiology, UK), CCST (Cardiology, UK), FRCP (Internal Medicine, UK), FESC (Cardiology, Europe), FACP (Internal Medicine, USA), FACC (Cardiology, USA), FASCI(Cardiac intervention, USA), FAHA(Cardiology, USA)

Peter Duffy

Dr. Duffy currently serves as Treasurer of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). He has also served as Secretary, Vice President and President Elect for the Society. He was a recent Chair of the Medical Directors Institute (MDI) at the American College of Cardiology (ACC). The MDI is a consortium of cardiologists and the medical directors for third-party payers nationally whose purpose is to align pay-for-performance goals and incentives.  He also co-chaired the Advocacy Committee of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).

Faisal Latif

Dr. Latif currently serves as co-chair of SCAI’s Quality Improvement Committee. He also serves as the Governor of Oklahoma Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, and served as associate editor of the book titled “Management of Complex Cardiovascular Problems”. He is a passionate teacher and provides effective mentorship to fellows and residents. His research interests include pre-operative cardiac evaluation before non-cardiac surgery, interventions of coronary CTOs, Peripheral vascular interventions particularly Carotid Stenting. He participates in Quality Initiatives in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory through SCAI and ACC. In recognition of his research accomplishments, he was awarded Provost’s Research Award for 2015 by the University of Oklahoma. He was awarded Hammersten’s Physician Excellence Award for the year 2017 at VA Oklahoma City.


Mohammad Almutairi

Mohammad Almutairi is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Ex-Chairman of the Department of Cardiology in Cheast Diseases Hospital. He Obtained his MB, ChB with Honours from kuwait Medical School, Kuwait University in 1997 

Dr Almutairi Serves in Kuwait Heart Center, Chest Diseases. he is Member of Kuwait Cardic Society he served as president of Gulf intervetion Society
