Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Catholic University of “Sacro Cuore”, Rome, Italy, and Director of its Plastic Surgery Residency Program. Former Chief of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University Hospital “A. Gemelli”, she founded its Center for Surgical Treatment of Lymphedema. Her clinical focus includes breast reconstruction, aesthetic surgery, post-oncologic microsurgery, and lymphatic surgery.
Dr. Salgarello has authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles, serves as General Secretary of ICOPLAST, and is active in multiple international societies, including ISAPS, ASPS, EURAPS, and WSRM.
