Antje Aschendroff 

Univ. Prof. Dr. med. Antje Aschendorff is an ENT specialist with more than 20 years’ experience in cochlear implant surgery and is currently head of the Cochlear Implant program in Freiburg. She currently holds an ENT-professorship, specialized on Cochlear implants and serves as acting director of the ENT-clinic at the University of Freiburg, Germany.

Blake Papsin

Prof. Blake Papsin (MD, MSc, FRCS, FACS, FAAP) is a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Toronto and the Otolaryngologist-in-Chief at The Hospital for Sick Children where he has been a full-time consultant since July 1996 and led Cochlear Implant Program.


Leo De Raeve

PhD Leo De Raeve has 3 professions: he is a Doctor in Medical Sciences, psychologist and teacher of the deaf. He has more than 35 years of experience in working with deaf children and their families and in deaf education and rehabilitation at KIDS Royal School for the Deaf in Hasselt (Belgium).  

Levent Sennaroglu

Prof. Levent Sennaroglu did his medical training and otolaryngology residency in Hacettepe University Medical Faculty in Ankara. In 1996 He became associate professor, and in 2003 professor in the same department. He was a research scholar in House Ear Institute, Los Angeles California where he performed a temporal bone study on middle fossa approach (1997).


Richard Tyler

Prof. Richard Tyler has worked initially at the Institute of Hearing Research in the United Kingdom and am currently a Professor in both the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery and in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Iowa

Sue Archbold

Sue was the teacher of the deaf of the first child in the UK to have a cochlear implant in 1989. She then helped establish The Ear Foundation to fund the first paediatric cochlear implants in the UK and went on to co-ordinate Nottingham Paediatric Cochlear Implant Programme from its inception in 1989 until 2004

Thomas Lenarz

Thomas Lenarz studied medicine and biochemistry at the universities of Tübingen, Erlangen. Ph.D. in pharmacology of the auditory system in 1987.
